Johanna McCarthy (M Prof Psych, B Psych (Hons)) is a psychologist who is passionate about providing a safe and supportive space for clients and values the importance of respect, warmth, acceptance, and a non-judgmental approach in her work.
Johanna has experience in working with children, adolescents and adults. She has an interest in life adjustment challenges, anxiety and mood disorders, emotion dysregulation, and helping clients increase meaning and fulfillment in their lives. Johanna is supported by our senior clinical supervisors and is dedicated to the use of evidence-based treatments and collaborative approaches to therapy. Johanna is experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
