Overview

With extensive experience in mental health, Joanna is a psychotherapist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a psychology background. Working with adults, she offers a warm and non-judgemental therapeutic space where unhelpful patterns can be explored, meaningful goals set and clients are empowered to work towards change. Collaboratively, she'll help clients identify thoughts and behaviours contributing to emotional distress. Each intervention is thoughtfully tailored to equip clients with the skills and strategies empowering them to recover, achieve their goals and build resilience. Joanna has expertise with anxiety*, stress, and low mood/depression and eating disorders, specifically bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. She works with panic disorder, health anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, phobias, generalised anxiety, PTSD (single incident), perfectionism, low self-esteem and anger and specialises in CBT for loneliness. Joanna has supported a diverse range of clients - adolescents, families and adults having worked for 17 years in mental health settings in the UK's National Health Service. Her last role being a Clinical Supervisor and Team Manager. She is now focusing on her clinical practice.
