Jennifer Hurrell IBCLC has been supporting mums to breastfeed in the Bendigo Region for over 20 years. Jennifer works with families to identify breastfeeding goals, support lactation, and empower parents to reach those goals. Jennifer embraces collaborative practice, shares appropriate additional health education with families through written and video formats, and provides families a comprehensive breastfeeding plan. Jennifer is offering the options of appointments in the client's home or via a secure video telehealth system. Where there may be higher risks of Covid or other respiratory infections, you may be offered a combination of video telehealth and short (30-45 minutes) in-person appointment within suburban limits of Bendigo, with PPE worn throughout appointment. Pre-appointment health check with families is necessary before home visits can be arranged. Where appointments occur more than 20kms from Bendigo CBD, travel costs will apply. A first appointment involves an assessment of mum, baby and breastfeeding, and takes around 1.5 hours. The cost is $200, inclusive of recommendation report, referrals as needed, and ongoing telephone support for the next 2 weeks. Further assessment appointments usually last up to 1 hour, and cost $125 per visit, and can be in person, or by telehealth.
