Overview

Imogen (she/her) is an experienced clinical and mental health social worker who has worked for several years in pediatrics and neonatal intensive care. She has special interest in eating disorder support and care for people of all ages, particularly adolescents. As a yoga and meditation teacher for 15 years Imogen takes a deeply holistic approach to therapy and seeks to understand the individual in the context of family and societal systems in which we live and how they can impact a person's journey. Imogen brings extensive training and experience in evidence based treatments together with a strength based, inclusive and person centred approach that honours growth , resilience and recovery is within all of us. Imogen has a special interest in chronic health conditions, in particular, type 1 diabetes and eating disorders and the intersecting impact the two conditions have on a person with a dual diagnosis of these - their families and life. Imogen currently works part time for a state wide specialist adult eating disorder service as a senior social worker. She is available on Tuesdays and Saturdays for private work.
