Harriet is an experienced early childhood speech pathologist who works with children 0-12 years old.
Harriet has worked in the disability sector with children diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and Global Developmental Delays. Harriet has worked with children from varying language and cultural backgrounds and has experience working in schools, child care centers and clients homes to ensure the communication strategies fit with your own child's environment and are consistent everywhere they go. This approach is evidence-based to achieve the best results for your child. Harriet can support your child with concerns around their understanding and use of language, ability to be understood by others, fluency, play skills, literacy and social skills.
Harriet is Hanen It Takes Two To Talk trained and has completed training in Augmentative and Assistive Communication (AAC) systems including PODD and Key Word Sign. She is also experienced with developmental delays related to trauma.
Harriet currently works in the community sector and can be a strong advocate for your child assessing eligibility for funding supports in the education systems and in the community.
