I am a clinical psychologist with a passion for working with young people and adults. I take a holistic approach, recognising each person’s unique qualities as well as the link between mind and body. I have a warm and direct approach, and use humour where appropriate in my work with young people aged 12 and over through the lifespan into adulthood. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where people feel comfortable discussing their concerns; and to collaborate with them to achieve their goals.
I have worked in private practice for two years, and am now looking to grow my own business. I have previous experience working in youth residential care, community mental health, and in a family preservation program. I completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Deakin University in Melbourne, where I am originally from. I continued my study at Swinburne University, where I competed my Clinical Masters program, and have since completed my clinical psychology registrar program, where I completed two years of practice with intensive supervision and a high level of professional development
I have completed specialist training in trauma treatment, specifically Prolonged Exposure, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural therapy. Helping people process and manage trauma is one of my passions. I also work with a range of other presentations, including anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship concerns, self-esteem and interpersonal difficulties. I integrate different theoretical frameworks including attachment theory, strengths-based, positive psychology, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
