Ellen is a registered psychologist who has completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology (Child Specialisation) at the University of Melbourne. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Ellen employs a range of evidenced based therapeutic approaches dependant on the client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as solution-focused therapy, strengths based and Mindfulness based techniques.
Ellen has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in a variety of settings including early learning groups, Primary Schools, University and private practice. She has supported these clients by working together to address a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, Autism, behavioural difficulties, learning differences and working on building emotion regulation skills, social skills and resilience. Particularly when working with children, Ellen believes in working in collaboration with a child’s family, school and other health professionals (where appropriate) so that there is a shared understanding of the child and their unique needs which will assist in promoting positive outcomes across these settings.
