Overview

Ebony offers counselling in person at Breathe Counselling and online across Australia. She holds a Master of Counselling, is registered with the Australian Counselling Association, and brings over eight years of experience across clinical and school-based settings. Ebony brings a calm, curious and intuitive presence to her work, grounded in compassion, authenticity and unconditional positive regard. She believes in the healing power of a relaxed, judgment-free space, and even a bit of humour, where you can feel truly safe and seen. There is a quiet kind of transformation that happens through genuine human connection, and she feels honoured to walk alongside people as they explore, nurture and heal the tender parts of themselves that may have gone unattended. Her approach is collaborative, reflective and gently paced. While practical strategies can be helpful, lasting change often comes from understanding the patterns beneath the surface, the early experiences, attachment dynamics, core beliefs, and the ways we have learned to protect ourselves emotionally. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe and respectful, building self-awareness, emotional understanding, and more compassionate ways of responding to your own experiences. Ebony works with adults of all ages, and has a particular warmth for teenagers and young adults, as well as people navigating grief and loss or moving through periods of transition and change. The areas she often supports people with include relationship patterns and attachment, people-pleasing and boundaries, anxiety and overwhelm, self-criticism and shame, grief and loss (including miscarriage and pregnancy loss), reproductive and perinatal experiences, separation, and questions of identity, self-worth and direction. No concern is ever too big or too small to bring. Her work draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapies (CBT and DBT), Narrative Therapy, parts work, and attachment-informed practice, tailored to the unique needs of each person. Ebony is currently welcoming new clients aged 13 and over, with sessions available on Mondays in Mandurah and further availability to come.
