I am eager to interact with a kalediscope of individuals- each bringing their own perspective to the table in a comfortable environment. I feel especially privileged when working with individuals with mental health difficulties. Active listening and 1:1 support enhances individual resilience while supporting meaningful.change. New perspectives and skills assist them to navigate their journey in more meaningful ways.
I initially completed degrees in education and welfare which paved the way for a focus on psychology. I completed a graduate and post graduate diploma in psychology in 2002. I am a member of the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Australian psychology society (APS) and ASPECT. I practice Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I have a keen interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am a listed ACT therapist. I am ialso interested in Neurodliversity with an emphasis on autism and ADHD. I use a trauma informed approach and use schema and narrative therapies.
I continue to work with a di verse range of clients across the life span (children, adolescents, adults and elderly). I see clients with different presentations e.g. intellectual delay, ASD and trauma. I have seen clients from different cultural backgrounds. My work in rural and remote NSW includes working with indigenous Australians.
