Brooke Moore has been a team member of Mylne Street Mental Health since 2014. She is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association and is also a Registered NDIS Provider.
Brooke is also studying in her second year of a Bachelor of Education (Primary) degree, evidence of her interest and commitment to working with children and adolescents. As a Counsellor, Brooke also works with adult clients. Brooke has experience delivering both individual and group programs for children and engages immediate family members to maximise outcomes for children in her programs.
Services provided by Brooke may include general counselling, focus and relaxation skills, psycho-education, emotional regulation programs, cognitive and behavioural supports and interpersonal communication skills.
Programs commence with an initial intake assessment of current personal strengths and difficulties in relation to the client’s goals for improved well-being and performance. Clients (and parents of clients) are encouraged to contribute to the planning of the program to improve understanding of the barriers toward intervention goals and to improve commitment to the change towards the desired goals. Programs will be reviewed regularly to evaluate their effectiveness and to monitor progress toward goals.
