I am an empathetic and caring person who is passionate about empowering others and helping them to achieve their fullest lives. I am driven and invested into helping others identify where they want to be and how to navigate their journey. I aim to create a safe and comfortable space for people by using clear communication, curiosity and a client-centred approach. I am a strong advocate for mental well-being who proactively promotes the importance of healthy home and work environments, healthy relationships, healthy life habits and seeking out mental health services. In both my professional and personal life, I model the concept of mental wellness and actively encourage conversations surrounding mental health. I feel very priviledged to be doing the job I do and touching all the lives of the people with whom I cross paths.
I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology, a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours, a Master in Counselling and a Master in Psychology. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). I am trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).
I currently work with people across the lifespan including children, adolescents and adults. I have an extensive background in paediatric psychology and the disability sector as well as demonstrated success in implementing behavioural interventions for children with neurodiversity and additional developmental needs. I also have a provision of exceptional care in the adult clinical population of varying mental health disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders and other significant psychological problems.
