I’m an AuDHDer neuroaffirming Clinical Psychologist who is warm, genuine, and friendly. I have 24 years of experience as a psychologist, and have a Master of Clinical Psychology.
I have a special interest in identifying and supporting late identified and high-masking autistic, ADHD and 2e adults.
I also have an interest in chronic illness-I have hEDS, POTS, MCAS (etc) so I understand complex chronic illness, misdiagnosis and medical trauma well. I'm an EMDR Accredited Practitioner. EMDR is such a beautiful and powerful tool.
I aim to provide neurodiversity, disability, trauma, gender-inclusive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
With me, you’ll be safe, you’ll be heard, and you’ll be free to be who you are.
An autism assessment is $2100 ($1809.50 with a MHCP). A combined ADHD and autism assessment is $3,100 ($2664.25 with a MHCP).
The average wait time is around 6 weeks.
Assessments can be booked on-line using this booking page. Note that I strongly prefer ADHD assessments are done by a psychiatrist if you might like to trial stimulant medication. We don't offer standalone ADHD assessments, as I think this is neither ethical nor professional.
Diagnostic reports can be used for NDIS applications- I am an endorsed Clinical Psychologist, which helps to be accepted (yay for me!)
If you'd like a 5 min chat with me before booking, I can arrange that for you too- it's important you feel safe and comfortable with your choice!
I use a therapeutic approach to assessments- I am person-centred, warm, and collaborative, patient and light-hearted. I'm committed to creating an environment that actively supports your comfort and accessibility needs, where stimming, identity expression, and unmasking are embraced as part of who you are. Feedback is always welcome, and I'll meet it with genuine appreciation.
I am very aware of the damage that many psychologists and mental health practitioners have done to us (neurokin) over the years, and try to show you that it can be different. I provide a CBT-free space too ;)
I am unable to see clients who also live in my own local area sorry (Wynnum/Manly/Lota), and unable to see clients who have current or pending legal matters.
Underpinning my work is a commitment to intersectional, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and de-pathologising practice, where affirming care isn't just an add-on or buzz word.
Please reach out when you're ready :)
