Allison provides a counselling approach that is non-judgemental and evidence-based. Her counselling services ensure that you feel heard, listened to and understood. Based on the security, compassion and reflection Allison's approach to all individuals is based on what is happening in their life and what best suits their needs. Allison has experiences with a range of therapeutic treatment modalities including the following therapies: mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focused psychotherapy, family systems therapy, narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, object relations and solution focused psychotherapy. Allison's preferred therapeutic approach is mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural, also known as acceptance and commitment therapy. ​ Allison specialisations include working with children and families, adolescents and adults experiencing depression and anxiety and anxiety related disorders, perinatal mental health issues, early intervention parenting work and working with individuals who have experienced abuse or trauma. Allison is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who is well versed in both providing both personality, learning and cognitive assessments. Allison has experience in working with clients across the lifespan who are experiencing a range of emotional or psychological difficulties.
