Shyan is a Clinical Psychologist with over six years of experience working across private clinics, public hospitals, and community mental health services. She has supported individuals across the lifespan and has extensive experience working with a wide range of presentations including functional neurological disorder (FND), trauma, mood and personality disorders, anxiety, and perinatal mental health. She also provides supportive counselling and clinical supervision, and has worked in areas such as addictions, neurodivergence, forensic mental health, geriatric psychology, and palliative/end-of-life care.
Shyan adopts an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Her practice is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and grounded in principles of cultural safety and inclusivity.
Shyan is passionate about improving psychological wellbeing and quality of life across all age groups and cultural backgrounds. She believes in empowering individuals to build adaptive coping and problem-solving skills that foster long-term resilience and growth.
In addition to English, Shyan speaks Mandarin (Singaporean Chinese) and Singlish. Outside the clinic, she enjoys cooking, baking, spending time with family, exploring new places and cultures, attending festivals, and keeping up with trends online.
