The top inspiration and commitment for my work is the clients’ courage to acknowledge their struggles and seek professional help to face them.
I see therapy as an empowering collaborative process where the client has the leading voice in setting treatment goals and evaluating the intervention progress. I recognise that clients are unique, and their difficulties cannot be reduced to a generic diagnosis. Instead, my interventions are tailored, respecting the integrity of each client, and adopting a holistic, strengths-based, and encouraging approach.
I strive to help clients to gain greater insight into their lives to understand and overcome their presenting issues, develop their self-confidence, and make meaningful changes in their lives. It is an incredible privilege to have the chance to influence and witness the clients’ healing and personal development.
I provide psychological services in both English and Spanish.
I completed a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced, a Master of Professional Psychology and a Master of Professional Psychology Practice.
I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
I am trained in multiple evidence-based interventions, including Client-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Schema Therapy.
I have extensive experience working with clients with conditions that include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, substance abuse, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
I have worked in various settings, including schools, universities, not-for-profit organisations, residential care, employment services, and private practice.
I am proficient in attending individuals across the lifespan and from diverse cultural backgrounds and vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities, the LGBT community, international students, recent migrants, and refugees.
