My name is Peita-Claire Fothergill (nee Hepperlin). I am a former soccer player and member of The Matildas—Australian Women's Football Team, and competed at the 1999 Women's World Cup and the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
I have a Master of Counselling degree and am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
Previously, I have been a teacher for many years, with a wealth of experience and insights from my time in education. I am passionate about supporting teacher well-being within the education system. I have insight into the unique challenges and stressors and seek to provide resources, strategies, and initiatives to help maintain their emotional well-being. Furthermore, I help athletes evolve out of their sporting careers. I understand how this transition, with the loss of identity and purpose, can be difficult for athletes. I have the lived experience and qualifications to be helpful in these areas.
