Overview

A wise person once said “life was not meant to be easy”…but I’m not so sure it was meant to be hard either. We all go through tough times, and tough times can be made a little easier by having someone on your side. I have a very strong belief that a human connection can help to ease life’s burdens. My passion is to support people identify and achieve their personal goals, live in a way that is true to their values, and be connected to those who are important to them. I believe it is a privilege to be part of a person’s journey and support network, and I always work to providing the tools to live a life that is satisfactory to you. I draw from my experience in various methods of evidence-based psychological support to provide highly individualised treatment plans that seek to achieve my clients’ self-identified goals. I seek to have my clients collaborate and become a fundamental part of their own journey toward wellbeing. I believe we all have the capacity to determine how we think and feel about events that may happen and I am very appreciative when people proactively engage in therapy and develop skills they can take beyond the “therapy room”. Nicole has been awarded a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from the University of New England and a Master of Clinical Psychology (Defence) from the University of Adelaide. She is registered as a general psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) as well as the Australian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (AACBT). Nicole is trained in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
