She also has also worked extensively with families and individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, panic attacks and various other issues. Her approach is that there is no ‘one fits all’ when it comes to therapy. Maria works within a person-centred framework and strongly values the importance of having a trusting relationship between therapist and client. Maria's 'therapy toolbox' has been developed from a wide range of approaches, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Practice, Gottman Method and Solution-Focused Therapy. Her aim is to support people in finding positive and effective solutions to making what can seem like an overwhelming situation, manageable with minimal stress.
