Marcelle is a highly skilled counsellor who has gained extensive knowledge and experience through her numerous counselling roles and from her broad experience at Lifeline. Marcelle is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and supports a range of clients both adults and adolescents presenting with a number of concerns. These include anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, anger management, low self-esteem, adjusting to life transitions, relationship and trauma related issues.
Marcelle has a calm and confident manner which helps her clients to feel comfortable to discuss any issue that they may be dealing with. Through collaboration, understanding and empathy Marcelle is able to provide support and help her clients to gain insight, consider unhelpful patterns and build their autonomy as they reconnect with their core strengths. She aims to help her clients so that they feel understood while recognising their pain and joy, motivating them to make positive changes.
Her core belief is that people know themselves better than anyone else and given the right support they have the ability to develop new understandings and coping strategies to build their wellbeing and overall happiness.
Marcelle is extremely passionate about her work as a counsellor, has three children and significant lived experience which includes a background in business and education.
