I am passionate about helping you to improve your well-being and ability to cope with a range of life situations and the ups and downs of everyday life. I truly believe that my role is to provide you with a safe, warm, engaging and positive environment, to guide you and enable you to be the expert in your own life. I will support you and listen, so that I can get the best understanding of you and your specific needs and concerns. By taking this approach, I want to enable you to better understand yourself and your thoughts and feelings, the context you are in and it's impact on you, and how to best move forward.
I have a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Diploma in Psychology and Masters in Organisational Psychology. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I am trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
With over 30 years as a psychologist, I have worked with a diverse range of clients. I am very interested in working with adults who are having issues with self-confidence and interpersonal communication, depression, stress, anxiety, loss, family conflict, fears, career or work problems, emotional distress, post-natal stress or depression, or relationship difficulties. I have worked mainly within organisational settings and private practice.
