Overview

Since young age all I knew was that "I wanted to help”. My purpose is to support peoples from all walks of life towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life, respecting their experiences, values, history... and everything that comes with it! Offering a warm, compassionate and empathetic approach where no issue is too big or too small. My approach integrates the latest psychological science, comprising concepts from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Positive Psychology and Neuroscience to tailor a unique treatment to fulfil each client's needs and goals in therapy. With more than 15 years of experience in the health Industry, caring for people and studying a lot, I know Psychology is my purpose, it is my Ikigai (Ikigai is a Japanese concept referring to something that gives a person a sense of purpose, a reason for living.) Lilian majored in Psychology in 2010, in Brazil. She is registered as a General Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), she is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), as a Counsellor Level 4 and a member of the ACA College of Supervisors, as a professional supervisor. Lilian is trained in wide range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Therapy, Neuroscience, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) and Positive Psychology. With several years of experience in the health Industry, Lilian worked for an NGO as a Counsellor with families affected by natural disasters for over two years. Lilian maintained a private practice in Brazil for two years, offering accessible psychological services to vulnerable people. In Australia, Lilian worked with clients across the lifespan, her main interests are: working with adolescents and with women’s health (anxiety, depression, self-esteem and adjustment disorder) and working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients (sense of identity loss, discrimination and lack of belonging issues.) In addition, Lilian speaks fluent English and Portuguese.
