Overview

Leigh Marvin graduated in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in social science, with a major in counselling, and previously held an Associate degree in Business. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Christian Counselling Association of Australia (CCAA). She provides ethical, compassionate counselling for individuals, couples and families. Her approach draws on Person-Centred Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), helping clients recognise their strengths, develop healthier perspectives, find hope and move towards meaningful change. Above all, she aims to create a safe, respectful and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, valued and supported. Leigh welcomes people from all backgrounds and worldviews. For those who desire it, she is passionate about integrating psychology and Christian theology to provide faith-based counselling that honours personal values, faith and client autonomy. She works with people across the lifespan, from primary school-aged children and teenagers through to adults and seniors, adapting counselling to each person's individual needs and circumstances. She has experience supporting people through a range of life challenges, including anxiety, grief, family conflict, separation and divorce, body image concerns, boundaries, suicidal ideation, family and domestic violence, and difficult life transitions. She has also gained experience in supporting individuals, couples and families experiencing pregnancy loss, infertility, unplanned pregnancy and post-abortion experiences, following her work as Deputy Person in Charge at Pregnancy Assistance Inc. Leigh is particularly passionate about women's wellbeing, family wellbeing and compassionate care for vulnerable members of our community. Outside of counselling, she can often be found immersed in nature, where she values the quiet, restoration, and sense of well-being that the natural world offers. Leigh is available on Saturdays in person and online.
