I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with 20 years experience working in mental health across rural and regional Australia and particularly on Yorke Peninsula. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients across the lifespan with particular skills in trauma work, anxiety, depression, relational/attachment practices and working with the mind and body to bring about positive change and healing. Central to my work is creating a calm, safe therapeutic relationship that allows a client to explore and grow at their own pace.
I have specialised in children/youth mental health working with a wide range of complex families as well as adults presenting with mild to moderate and severe mental health distress.
I service multiple streams of referrals including Medicare, Private and National Disability Insurance Scheme.
I use a range of trauma informed, evidence-based interventions which are well established including psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialetical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), relational/attachment therapy, narrative and neurobiological approaches.
