Overview

I am someone who is personable and laid back, yet professional and experienced. My style of practice aims to treat you like a human being and not a number, while helping you overcome the challenges you are facing. I don’t work with just one ‘type’ of therapy. I choose frameworks and strategies based on the individuals needs presenting in front of me. My approach is non-judgemental and genuine. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story. Laura has completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Masters of Psychology (Forensic). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is endorsed as a Forensic Psychologist. Laura has training and experience in a number of therapeutic modalities including (but not limited to) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, trauma informed practice, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Laura has an extensive range of experience, working within the Criminal Justice System (assessment and treatment), disability, private practice, drug and alcohol, public health, and other mental health services with adult and adolescent clients. Laura’s most recent experience is with survivors of sexual assault (children, adolescents and adults) and domestic violence, and those with trauma backgrounds. This is a particular area of interest and expertise for Laura. She has worked in psychology fields since 2013.
