Kayley is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Accredited Supervisor with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is currently working towards attaining a Masters in Family & Systemic Therapy.
Kayley has extensive experience working with children, young people and families in the community services and public mental health sectors in both clinical and practice leadership roles. She has a commitment and passion for working in a manner that is trauma-informed and prioritises the safety in the therapeutic relationship, whilst drawing from therapeutic models such as EMDR, Mentalization Based Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Kayley has a particular passion for supporting children, adolescents, parents and carers who are connected with or are at risk of entering the Out of Home Care system and seeks to drive change in family systems to support the rebuilding of safety and connectedness in their relationships. Kayley values working with intention to promote insight and reflection for individuals whilst promoting healing and growth for families as a whole, celebrating their uniqueness and increasing their capacity to express, experience and process their emotions and to turn towards each other in times of stress.
