I love knowing that I could make a significant difference in someone’s life, just by being human – listening and working together to create effective, meaningful strategies and individual goals to enhance their overall quality of life. I consider myself to be a bit of a ‘T-shaped person’ in the sense that whilst I am knowledgeable in many areas of psychology and associated treatments, my strength lies in my ability to assist people to identify their unique strengths, assist them in taking greater control over their lives and manage any major lifestyle transitions or challenges causing a negative impact on their mental health.
As well as offering a comfortable and safe space to have an open discussion, I like to consider myself as an empathic and solution-focused listener. Whether it is dealing with general anxiety or depression, or going through a major life transition such as a new relationship, job or parenthood, I love building realistic and client-centred solutions.
I like to consider myself as someone who can provide a professional, yet human touch. I like to ensure that my clients feel comfortable to open up and engage in a two-way discussion with me. My sessions are conducted in a rather natural, and relatively casual manner where I steer away from major formalities and rigidity.
