Jen brings an authentic, personable and compassionate style to therapy. She is curious about her clients’ stories and values the importance of practicing without judgement. Jen believes in forming strong therapeutic relationships and enjoys working collaboratively with clients to tailor therapy to their needs. She believes that her role is to walk alongside her clients, helping them make sense of their challenges in order to develop the required tools to create sustainable change. Jen aims to create a relaxed and inviting therapeutic online space and prefers to leave unnecessary jargon in the textbook.
Jen has completed a Master of Professional Psychology, Bachelor of Psychology with Honours, Graduate Diploma of Psychological Sciences and Bachelor of Social Science (Social Welfare). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Jen has undertaken training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and adopts other evidence-based approaches throughout her practice.
Jen has a diverse range of experience working with clients across various stages of adulthood. She holds particular interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, self esteem issues and interpersonal difficulties. Jen has worked across a number of settings, including crisis, not-for-profit, and private settings. Through her extensive experience she understands the role that early relationships and personal attachments can have on later life experiences.
