Accredited Mental Health Social Worker/ Play Therapist and EMDR practitioner. I work with clients across the life span. My approach is warm and humanistic respecting and acknowledging clients as experts in their lives. I work collaboratively empowering all to make positive changes in their lives. I employ a range of modalities dependent on client presentation. I employ the use of non-directed play therapy when working with children and their families. I also recognise and acknowledge the benefits of play therapy with adolescents and adults creating an environment that allows people to feel safe to explore and make sense of their world and hence build resilience. My specialty is in trauma with an attachment humanistic focus to repair relationships utilising a dyadic therapeutic model. I address range of issues which include depression, anxiety, anger management, perinatal counseling, parenting issues, adjustment disorder and trauma related issues and am not limited to these issues. My focus is on the human interaction and what the the client brings into the room. I am also a Level B Assessor with Pearson to assess for a range of intellectual issues.
