Mrs Erla Newhouse Counsellor

Erla is an Individual, Couple & Family Therapist as well as an accredited Mental Health practitioner. Over the last 18 years Erla has worked with children, couples, individuals and families dealing with issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, interpersonal relationships, issues affecting children and adolescents, parenting skills, adjustment to chronic illness, grief and bereavement. She has worked in a number of diverse settings including hospitals, community mental health and other organizations such as relationships Australia and parentline. Erla has presented at international and Australian conferences, workshops, training sessions and run support groups for children and adults.She is passionate about providing a therapeutic space that empowers clients to gain a better understanding of their personal goals, insight into the concerns that led them to counselling and to find new ways of coping.
