Catherine is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has a passion for paediatrics and maternal health and has specialised in this area of dietetics. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science (Nutrition & Food Science) and Post Graduate Diploma (Dietetics) from Curtin University of Technology, she went on to work in paediatric hospitals locally and internationally. Over the past 13 years Catherine has worked as a Senior Paediatric Dietitian for Great Ormond Street Hospital (London), The Harley Street Clinic (London) and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children (Perth). Catherine has experience in a wide variety of medical specialties including: Gastroenterology, Inborn Errors of Metabolism, Oncology, Surgical Care, Burns, Feeding Difficulties, Neurology (including Ketogenic Diet for Intractable Epilepsy), Respiratory (including Cystic Fibrosis), General Medicine, Renal, Immunology, Cardiology and Paediatric Intensive Care. During her years at PMH, Catherine’s enthusiasm for helping others grow in confidence saw her manage the Infant Formula Room and the Student Dietitian program. Catherine has also been the Dietitian for the WA branch of The National Heart Foundation and worked as a Tutor/Lecturer in Edith Cowan University’s nutrition program while assisting with the development of a teaching clinic for the Masters of Dietetics program.
