Catherine has a Bachelor of Education and a Masters in Professional and Clinical Psychology and is an experienced teacher and psychologist. Catherine began her working career as a teacher of children, adolescents and adults in both the education and private sectors and later became a teaching principal. Seeing a need to assist people with mental health concerns Catherine returned to university to complete a master’s degree in professional and clinical psychology. Catherine is skilled in working with individuals across the life span who are experiencing a range of mental health concerns including autism spectrum disorders, mood and anxiety disorder, drug and alcohol related mental health concerns and behavioural disorders. Catherine is trained in the assessment of individuals with learning and intellectual disabilities, as well as autism spectrum disorders and behavioural disorders. As an elite athlete in her early life, Catherine has used sports psychology to enhance and achieve a high degree of sporting success in her career and has used this knowledge in helping people with performance anxiety to work towards successfully achieving their performance and sporting goals. As the mother of three adult children, Catherine is passionate about helping people from across the life span address their mental health concerns and improve their quality of life.
