Amy Greaves is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has more than 19 years experience providing quality psychological care to clients in a variety of settings. Amy works out of both Ballarat and Melbourne.
Amy’s warm, engaging, and empathetic personality combined with her wide knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, has led to her success in helping a wide variety of clients to enhance meaning and quality in their lives.
With her clientele of adults and adolescents, she is dedicated to creating a safe and trusting therapeutic environment and believes in working collaboratively with each client to develop an individualised treatment plan.
Amy is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). She is also registered with Medicare to provide services under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.
Amy’s therapeutic approaches draw from evidence-based practice including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based interventions, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing and Supportive Counselling. She is also skilled in Coaching Techniques and a trained Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.
Amy supports her clients to better understand their own emotions and reconnect to their inner values and what is important to them. She is passionate about teaching practical wellbeing skills for her clients to use in their day-to-day life. When Amy’s not on the go with her three children she enjoys great conversations, good food and travel.
