Mr Zane Soblusky Counsellor

Zane Soblusky is the founder of Sky Therapy and a qualified Counsellor & Social Worker based in Cairns, Queensland. Zane has over twenty years of post-secondary experience working in diversified areas of the industry, including Immigration, Juvenile and Family Courts, Corrective Services, Primary and Secondary Schools, Indigenous and Torres Strait communities, and various private and public sectors. Zane has successfully worked with children, adolescents, families and within communities, specialising in Family Therapy; Addictions; Mental Health; Grief & Loss; Family Law. Zane has extensive networks in remote Far North Queensland regional communities and demonstrated experience with many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Zane has completed his Master's Degree in Social Work at James Cook University. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Science, Psychology, Graduate Diplomas in Counselling specialising in Family, Addiction and Grief & Loss. He has Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution, Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Diploma of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Zane is an active member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Zane is passionate about building and maintaining relationships; value-adding and undertaking a behavioural change management style. Each session with Zane is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. He incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into his practice, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Zane uses an integrated, client-centred approach, and is skilled at helping her clients address a variety of issues. He is passionate about providing an independent voice to guide clients to find reasonable and practical solutions in considerably difficult situations.
