Tod Stokes is a proud Torres Strait Islander man with deep connections to Culture and community. As the Founder of Legacy Counselling and Consultancy, he brings a culturally grounded, trauma-informed approach to healing that honours confidentiality, trust, and lived experience.
A skilled Narrative Therapist and respected Indigenous Healing Practitioner, Tod specialises in working with individuals carrying the weight of trauma—particularly men navigating complex emotions, past violence, or systemic challenges. His strength lies in helping clients find new ways to cope, communicate, and reconnect with their cultural identity.
Tod is also the Academic Co-Lead for First Nations Education and Engagement in the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide, where he lectures and provides consultancy in areas such as cultural safety, domestic violence, system change, and conflict resolution.
With a passion for men's mental health and real change, Tod supports individuals and services alike to grow, heal, and transform. He creates culturally safe spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to take the next step in their journey.
