I am an experienced psychologist having worked with both children and adults over the course of my career. I have a relaxed, easy going nature and like to provide people with the skills to manage life's challenges. I will work together with you and explore what we can do to manage unsettling issues. Therapy sessions are a safe place where you can talk through difficult emotions, discover and reduce troubling symptoms and improve your overall sense of well-being.
I completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in psychology and a postgraduate diploma in primary education. I then completed my studies in psychology. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. I am trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I am a qualified primary school teacher as well as a registered psychologist. I taught for several years before becoming a school psychologist. I have a keen interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and behaviour and emotional disorders in children. I have worked in a number of settings, including schools, medical centres and private practice.
