Shannon uses Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness strategies and a variety of other psychological techniques to change your relationship with trauma, anxiety, depression or addictions. He works at a deep level to help you create lasting change and feel contentment with your life. The required length of appointments will vary depending on what the client is wanting to achieve. Shannon is available to provide longer sessions for people wanting to do EMDR work in an intensive format. During your first appointment, which will be a standard 50 minutes, you will be able to collaboratively identify which will be the best approach for your circumstances. Costs per session: A standard appointment with Shannon is a 50 minute 1:1 psychotherapy session. With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan, the out-of-pocket cost per session is $176.10. If you do not have a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $81.90, which means the cost per session is $258. Shannon's fee for a 50 minute couples counselling session is $252.
