Sometimes Life gets difficult and we don't always have the resources to weather the storm or ride out the waves; but we all do the best we can with what we have, and sometimes counselling is about preparing better shelter for the next storm, or learning to surf those waves. I am a mental health professional with qualifications and experience in psychology and counselling; intensive therapeutic care (including significant disability), trauma-informed practice, positive behaviour management and planning, adult and youth corrections, rehabilitation coordination, risk assessment and crisis planning, training and assessment, group facilitation, community services. I strive to ensure my practice is person-centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based and positive psychology focused in an effort to assist clients in increasing skills, knowledge and capacity toward resilience and self-determination. Through reflective practice I assess myself and my skills, seeking to fill gaps in training/technique as a life-long learner. I operate my Counselling Practice specialising in the mental health of Men & Boys, Trauma & PTSD related issues, learning difficulties and disabilities, anxiety and depression (and related SH / SI behaviours). Also assist people dealing with issues relating to covid vaccine injury and job loss related depression and anxiety.
