I'm Nick Bowditch, I'm a counsellor and psychotherapist with two degrees in psychology and in applied health science, and I'm here to support you on your journey towards personal growth and a happier life. Free 20 minute Introduction I think it's really important that we work out if we are a good fit for each other before we are sitting across from each other in the therapy situation. Let's have a quick chat on the phone as soon as we can to take that first step and for you to see who I am and what I am like. We will also use this time to discuss your unique goals, explore my client-centred, mindfulness-infused approach, and address any questions you might have. Fees: The Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia report the majority of counsellors and therapists in Australia charge between $100 and $160, while the Australian Psychological Society recommends $246 for a 45 minute session. Individual sessions are available at my Terrigal Clinic, Gosford Clinic, or via telehealth on Zoom or phone. In the interests of everyone being able to benefit from mental health care, I have two levels of fees: Standard Fee: $130 The standard fee for a 45-minute appointment is $130, payable at the time of booking. Community Rate: $90 I am committed to supporting the wellbeing of our entire community. That's why I offer a standard fee of $130 and a community rate of just $90. The community rate is designed for those who find the standard fee a barrier to accessing my services. I trust my patients to choose the rate that best fits their circumstances, as part of my dedication to accessible mental health care. Medicare and Health Funds In terms of Medicare rebates or bulk billing, counselling in Australia is generally not covered. My services are not covered by Medicare either, however, please check with your health fund if you think you might be covered.
