Hi! I’m Max (he/him). I completed my six-year training at The University of Melbourne and have since supported young people and adults across hospitals, acute mental health services, and private practice.
Through my clinical experience, I am passionate in supporting people of all ages and backgrounds with a wide range of concerns, including long-term depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, grief, and complex trauma. Specifically, I hold special interests in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), psychosis, and social anxiety.
I believe every person brings a unique story. Therefore, I take a compassionate and collaborative approach to always create a safe space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. My therapeutic style is tailored to your needs, drawing on my strengths in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive-Behaviour therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
Alongside private practice, I work as a clinician at the world-leading Orygen Specialist Program, where I support young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing psychosis and complex mental health concerns. I have also supported people facing cancer at the Austin Hospital and those navigating physical rehabilitation at the Royal Talbot Centre. For me, helping those who are most in need is not just part of work - it is my greatest privilege.
Outside of work, you will find me spending time taking photos, writing music, or cheering on my favourite football team to nurture my own wellbeing!
