Matthew is a clinical counsellor and psychotherapist, licensed under PACFA. He is based in East Victoria Park and offers a warm, grounded, and collaborative therapeutic presence. He works with individuals, couples, and families. His approach centres on creating and maintaining reflective spaces where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and self-directed. Matthew integrates Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, Systems, Attachment, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) modalities to support clients in deepening their understanding of themselves and their relationships.
Matthew’s counselling background includes significant experience working with young people through Headspace, as well as facilitating a wide range of group programs across schools, youth services, the disability sector, and correctional settings with prisoners. These diverse environments have shaped his sensitivity, adaptability, and respect for each client’s individual journey.
Deeply motivated by the core needs and personal stories of the people he works with, Matthew views the therapeutic relationship as a place of trust, safety, and genuine human connection. He draws on his varied professional history and well-developed relational skills to support clients in navigating challenges, fostering insight, regulating their emotions, and developing meaningful change.
