Massoud Amani is a Registered Psychologist (Clinical Psychologist) with over 25 years of clinical experience providing psychological assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults across both public mental health services and private practice. He has extensive experience in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, including Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, with a clinical focus on anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, and complex psychological conditions. He completed his psychology training in Sweden and gained extensive clinical experience working within child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric services, including psychiatric emergency settings. In these roles, he conducted comprehensive psychological assessments, psychological testing, and therapeutic interventions for individuals presenting with a broad range of mental health conditions. Massoud currently provides psychological assessment and treatment in private practice, working with children, adolescents, and adults. His clinical approach integrates Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, short-term and long-term Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Therapy (CT), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). Treatment is tailored to each individual’s psychological needs, with a focus on addressing underlying emotional processes, improving psychological functioning, and supporting long-term wellbeing.
