Overview

Luke Wright is a compassionate, warm and experienced Clinical Psychologist currently operating within Sydney’s Inner West and online via telehealth. Luke’s therapeutic approach puts clients at the centre of their therapy journey, collaboratively working towards their own unique goals or values and tailoring a treatment modality that works for them. Clients can expect therapy sessions that balance validation and acceptance with the need for meaningful change and direction. Luke has extensive experience and knowledge in evidenced-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy (ST) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). His experience has included working within an Acute Care Unit and Community Mental Health team in Sydney’s Inner West, treating clients individually and as part of a group DBT program, as well as individuals struggling with the impact of complex trauma. As well as working privately, Luke currently works as part of a multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Management team in Western Sydney. Luke’s topics of interest are broad and range from anxiety and depression to the management of extreme emotional responses, long-standing difficulties with self-worth and management of chronic pain.Luke studied his Undergraduate with First Class Honours and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University in Canberra.
