Ken Gow has 35 years ownership of private practice alongside his hospital appointment in Intensive Care, Cardio-Thoracic, Rehabilitation and Head of Orthopaedics.
A graduate of The University of Sydney faculty of Physiotherapy, Ken has postgraduate studies in respiratory physiotherapy, metabolic health and sports nutrition at The University of Newcastle and a Graduate Certificate in Paediatrics at Monash University.
He remains passionate to engage in continuing education both within the scope of physiotherapy and across the broader areas of allied health.
Ken has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy working with state, country and local representative teams in New South Wales: Rugby league, rugby union, hockey, swimming and netball.
He was involved in the development of policies and procedures for the Australian Rugby League (ARL) first aid and on-field protocols and was an educator during the actioning of these guidelines. In addition, Ken has lectured and written syllabus for massage schools both in Sydney and on the Central Coast.
As a practitioner, Ken is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with special interests in lumbo-pelvic pain and dysfunction, respiratory physiotherapy and metabolic health and nutrition.
He establishes a close working relationship with his clients that involves a guided self-management approach tailored to the specific needs of the individual.
Treatments are strictly hands-on and exercised based without the use of any electro therapeutic modalities. Some acupuncture and dry needling may be employed where necessary, and with consent.
