Overview

Jake is a Registered Psychologist who completed his studies at the University of Queensland. He is a current member of the Australian Psychological Society, and Australian Association of Psychologists. He possesses extensive experience working with current and ex-serving Defence members, heavy industries sectors, and emergency services. He also has experience with teens and adolescents of ages 12 and above. Jake thrives in assisting those experiencing difficulties with depression, anxiety, trauma, major life changes, and workplace stress or burnout. In his practice, Jake primarily utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused therapy, and Mindfulness. He has been described as having a very conversational and approachable therapeutic style, with a strong focus on psycho-education, self-regulatory skills building, and helping clients develop a sense of autonomy. Jake is available for telehealth sessions only.
