With a strong passion for people and relationships, Hannes brings a wealth of experience to his clients from his work as a professional counsellor, community leader, psychotherapist, and mediator, spanning more than 25 years. With work experience across various environments, communities, and cultures, Hannes holds the ability to effectively assist individuals, families, and communities facing trauma, loss, abuse, addiction, depression, relational struggles and conflicts from diverse backgrounds. Hannes firmly believes that life's daunting challenges do not have to define our future. He sees hope as a constant, and with the right support, we can not only overcome challenges but also grow and thrive beyond them. Hannes follows a pluralistic person-centred orientation in order to provide clients with a personalised treatment plan that best fits their individuality and specific circumstances. He has studied a range of evidence-based therapeutic methods to offer this tailored approach. Recognising the vital role of the client-practitioner relationship in successful therapy, Hannes takes this aspect very seriously and is committed to creating an environment that is safe, non-judgmental, and offers unconditional acceptance. Hannes is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association, holding postgraduate qualifications in Psychology (Hons), Counselling (MA), and Theology (Hons).
