Overview

Dominik Prgomet is a speech pathologist delivering care to clients across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. He has experience supporting people presenting with communication and swallowing difficulties throughout various stages in life. Dominik has a special interest in diagnosing and managing adult neurogenic communication disorders such as aphasia, dysarthria, and apraxia of speech. He is well versed in acute and critical care speech pathology. A certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia, Dominik graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) in 2017. After beginning his career at Cairns Hospital in Tropical North Queensland, Dominik moved to the small town of Dalby in 2019 where he worked as a rural generalist speech pathologist. Falling in love with the Darling Downs, he settled a little further East in leafy Toowoomba the following year. Dominik provides in-home and telehealth private practice consultations. He also provides inpatient consultations at St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital, and public services at Toowoomba Hospital and Warwick Hospital. Dominik enjoys teaching and supervision. He has provided clinical education to speech pathology students from Queensland universities, including Griffith University and his alma mater The University of Queensland. Besides speech pathology, Dominik enjoys the outdoors and the arts. He is an active hiker, mountaineer and camper.
