Overview

Hi there! My name is Daniel and I am really looking forward to getting to know you and working with you. My style of therapy is warm and non-directive, which means that I am more like a GPS in the car, whilst you remain the driver. I will never force you to do anything you're not comfortable doing, but I will still act as a guide, driving alongside you. Through my experience, I have been able to work with a range of different people with different presentations and I have completely loved my journey so far. I don't believe it is the psychologist who makes the change in someone's life, it is the client. You are the one who is taking the tough step of seeking help and making a change in your life, and I would be honoured to share a part of your journey with you. Daniel is a psychologist with general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. He holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Western Sydney University. Daniel is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). With Masters level training, Daniel is proficient in evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Daniel also has training and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. During Daniel’s professional internships, he worked with a variety of presentations, including depressive and anxiety disorders, anger, substance use, phobias, self-harm, trauma, psychosis, and individuals with behavioural and emotional difficulties. He has experience in and enjoys conducting neuropsychological assessments for both children and adults. Through his degree, Daniel been able to gain valuable experience working in adolescent and adult community mental health. Daniel has a keen interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community.
