Mr Carlo Jacobs-Bloom Psychologist

Carlo Jacobs-Bloom is a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters degree (Macquarie University) and a First Class Honours degree majoring in Psychology. Carlo has over 10 years clinical experience with children, adolescents and adults across diverse settings including community mental health, university counselling, correctional facilities, hospital, and private practice. Carlo has expertise in psychometric testing of children/adolescents and adults presenting with giftedness, learning difficulties, ADHD, and attention/memory problems. Carlo also has a particular interest and experience in trauma and trauma-related conditions (e.g., grief/adjustment, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, health related issues (eg chronic pain), eating, substance misuse/other addictive behaviours. Carlo has completed Advanced level training in EMDR and Schema Therapy, both of which are evidence-based treatments for trauma. Carlo's therapeutic approach is based on a relationship of collaboration, trust, humour, and draws on individual strengths.
