My approach is 'you-centred', so you will find I rarely have an agenda, and you will often guide the conversation. Unless some guidance is sought by you and we both deem it beneficial to your circumstances, we'll follow your lead. I am typically practical in my approach and can provide tools you can use right away after the session. Although no one will truly understand your experience, we can also develop your understanding and awareness of the different experiences you are having.
My aim is to empower others to be the best version of themselves, not to be a preacher, not to pretend to understand exactly what someone is going through, but to support them based on what I've heard. I'd also like to learn as much as I can along the way.
Ben is a registered Psychologist, completing a Bachelor of Psychology at Macquarie University, before moving to Melbourne to complete a Masters of Organisational Psychology. Moving back to Sydney, Ben worked with individuals and groups to improve their mental health and wellbeing at work. Ben is trained in coaching methodologies and various clinical techniques to support his clients.
Ben has worked with a diverse range of challenges, including grief, loss, work stress, work-life balance, general life functioning, work and university challenges, and challenges with emotions. Ben validates and builds awareness of his client's experiences by providing a unique understanding of how systems and organisations influence our challenges. Ben has worked with adults across the lifespan.
