Hey there! My name is Azaan. If you choose Mindology, I will be the psychologist looking after your care. Outside of sessions and unrelated to psychology, I enjoy watching and playing cricket, being a father and husband, listening to podcasts and audiobooks and training at the gym or outdoors. When I am not in session, I am constantly thinking about different ways to make psychological treatment relatable, effective and meaningful.
Within session, I am curious, authentic and honest with my words and demeanour. One of the ways I create this environment is through the use of humour and everyday references. Life can be tough, and sometimes we just need a laugh or a relatable story to get through the day. I love finding common ground and using it to build a collaborative relationship. Collaboration is key to my approach as a therapist. I don't see myself as an expert with all the answers - rather, I see myself as a guide who can help you uncover your own solutions and insights. I'll provide you with direction and advice on those topics which I have spent time understanding, but ultimately, I will help you understand yourself better.
With qualifications in Neuroscience, Psychology and Physical Fitness, I find that I can offer insightful and relatable information about our inner worlds. My therapeutic approach is centered on helping you understand the patterns and experiences that have shaped you and how they influence your decisions today.
